My daughter was sitting stopped at gas station exit when a vehicle out of control all but knocked off her front bumper, grill ground effects and headlights. In shock of what happened she stayed in car when aAfrican driver approached window to see if she was ok she said yes then he proceeded to back away fr scene to block tag and took off/ hit and run. Luckily amotor cyclist was behind hit and run car and got the tag number but Tallahassee pd gave up on finding theperson but my geico ins tracked down the tag to statefarm ins customer and took blame. Statefarms position is they fixed my car and I should be thankful but now I have a nationally known bad carfax which diminishes the value of my car due to no fault of my own! How can this be? Based on getting an independent appraisal the loss is a couple of thousand dollars. why should I have to bear burden of loss of value due to no fault of my own?
