Inkster Michigan Police Complaint

Inkster Police Fraud - Lost and Found Fraud

- Inkster Michigan Police
I have 3 daughters; they live together, so during tax season back in February of 2011, and my youngest daughter left home and stayed the night away at a friend’s. She left the funds from her tax return at her home. The next morning she called and asked one of the other girls to bring the funds to her, because she was about to meet with a realtor to give her earnest money deposit on a property that she was purchasing. Unfortunately, the daughter that was bring her the funds stopped at a service station gas station went in to buy gas but didn’t realize that the money that was in a sandwich bag had fallen out. Once finished pumping the gas, she got back in the car and noticed her purse was open and the money was gone. She panicked understandably, went back into the station and asked the worker if he saw the money or if someone turned it in, the answer was no. She got in the car sped off toward my other daughter that was waiting, was scared on how to tell her, so she didn’t realize that she was speeding. The police stopped her; she told them that she had just lost 10,000 dollars trying to get out of the ticket, when in all actuality she had only lost 3,850 dollars. They gave her the ticket and she went on and got to where her sister was. She told her what happened but she twisted the story because she was mad at herself but didn’t want her sister to get mad and do anything to her. She told her that she was robbed. That was not the case, but that is what she told her. The angry daughter, couldn’t believe it so she went to the service station to ask the worker what happened and if the money was turned it, He said yes that somebody found it, had given it to him and turned it in to the Inkster police, to whom he had told him about my daughter and that he knew who had lost it, he gave them her info. Of course she rushed up to the police station and wanted to retrieve it. The first officer to talk to her told her that she had to have her sister come up and get the funds back because she was the one that report to the guy as if it was her money. Well the daughter that lost it went back up there, but now the office turned the situation into, you said that it was 10,000 and if she knew that funds over 10,000 cash had to be reported to some organization because of the amount. She went on and admitted that she said that because she was trying to get out of the ticket to get to her sister, and by boosting up the amount they might feel sympathetic and let her go without giving her the ticket. The office stated that if that was the case now in order to get it back, the daughter that it actually belonged to had to prove it by bringing the tax documents, have Liberty tax service call to verify this and to have the real estate agent call to confirm that she was purchasing a home. Now, granted I know that girls, young people can get into trouble and craziness but the one who lost the money is 25yr old and the one it belonged to is 19 yrs. old, I know that he could tell that this was not the situation, he went to ask her how much was in the bag, and in what denomination, how many bills of this and that and she told him correctly. The daughters left, it was late by now so they took care of his requests the next morning, all of his demands were completed by 1pm. Now they are there at the station, the one that the funds belong to, was told to come back in a few hrs. So before she went back, she called the station and was told that she could come and get the money. When the daughter got there, once again another office told her that they now had to do an investigation, before they release the funds in order to make sure it wasn't drug money now, because now he thought that it was so strange that the funds were in a baggie. So they left after he state that it would take about a week to complete the investigation; this all happened around February the 7th, 8th or, 9th. Okay, so she waits, goes back up there after week, was told the investigation was not completed yet and that somebody will call her. The house she was purchasing is gone, sold to someone else. She calls back 2 weeks later, investigation still not complete. So the older one, the one that lost it and the owner daughters goes back up there together and the older is talking to the supervisor and he tells them that she won’t be getting the money back because they discovered that it was drug money, BULLSH*T!!!. The older get upset and told the supervisor that she knew he was going to do that, and that they spend it, she was being verbal, so he ask the owner daughter if he could speak to her in his office. He tells her in their separation to the office that she was getting and that he knows that its drug money and she may as well let it go, so she gets upset but he walks out to the lobby after tell her that she’s asking to show her how he came to this conclusion and he stating to her that this was his decision. So she tells the older one, he's standing next to the older puts his hand on her shoulder and asks her is her name was XXXXXX, she reply’s yes, he grabs her and puts her under arrest. She’s asking why it is because she knows that he spent the money, and if it isn’t, why was he arresting her. He never answered her or read her, her rights. The younger one calls me and the older one happens to be an identical twin, calls because now she is there and he won’t nor would any of the other officers tell her what was going on. I get there, because I'm not far at all from the Inkster police station, I go in meet my daughter now the younger one and the twin, they are upset and I find out some of what happen. I ask to speak with the Supervisor in charge, and the officer lets him know that I am requesting to see him. He comes out after about 10 to 15 minutes and instantly says to me, and I quote "what is it that you want, if it’s about the money I'm not talking about, and if it's about your daughter that's locked up, I won’t tell you much, but that the Livonia Police will be coming to get her, because they are the ones that want her". I said, what do you mean you not going to talk to me about the money, my daughter XXXXXX is right here and has giving authorization to speak with you. He then said that he was not telling me anything, then he stops turns to the young one, asked her how old she was, she answered, and he continued on to say, se she's grown and I don’t have to talk to you. He sounds like a kid, like his next words were going to be nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. I told him that just like a lawyer, that if she gave me authorization that he could talk to me. He said I don’t have to, and I’m not and walked away. I was seated at the time so I stood up and told him that you know that you spent it and that’s why he hadn't given either one of them a copy of any report, nothing was in writing and the he was acting like a jack ass, then he turned and instantly started trying to explain that he didn’t spend the money, but just as quick as he started he stopped and said again that he didn't have to talk to me. I called him a crook and a jack ass and that I was going to every news station and let them know how crooked the city officials in Inkster was. He then said in the most childish voice and actions to match, I know I know, run to channel 7 and 4 and whatever news station you want too, I don’t care, just then another female office came out with my daughter's belongings that was arrested and while she was handing her things over to her twin sister, she asked me to leave in the most humble voice and then said, please leave and go get whoever and tell whomever I want to tell, because he is trying to upset you to arrest you for ? I forgot the word she used, but she repeated it, he is only trying to get you upset to arrest you. I looked at her, he walked past her, She gave me of look of sheer compassion and said" mam just please leave before you get yourself into some trouble. I turned around and went out that door without saying another word. My twin daughter started say he is not right, he arrested her just because he didn't want to give that money back. I heard that same officer say to her "sweetheart, by the way I see your mother acting all you have to do is let her handle and don’t end up in there with her sister. She did the same thing, turned around and came out the door with my 19 yrs. old following her. We were so angry, and hurt, because we knew that he brought up some chumped up charges to distract from the real reason we were there. I can go on and on. I hope you feel like I do, that this was some bull. I went back up there and tried to talk to him again, similar result except for I said more. I asked him, knowing that he wouldn't answer, how he came to this drug money conclusion without making any arrest, questioning anybody, or making a report out and not giving my kids a copy; I stated, what did the money jump out of your pocket and say “hey you know I'm drug money". LOL. It is now April the 30th and my daughter hasn’t seen a dime. I tried to contact the Inkster's Mayor’s office without success. Look and what’s worse, The mayors son is in trouble for assault, attempted murder and some other charges, The judge that sees over criminal cases has 3 DUI's and the police are crooked and they are thieves. I really don’t want this man, those officers to get away with this. 38 hundred dollars is a lot of money in this day and time, and what’s even worse, is that the young one has so many traffic tickets it's a shame. It's like they stop her just for the hell of it, and now she has warrants for her arrest because she can’t afford to pay the tickets, and guess who the warrants have generated from, yep you guessed it. Hey, I don't know you, or whoever you are, but please get this story out there, because I know that it's been happening and gone happen again, but I don’t want a man that governs others to get away with this. This incident has sent a ripple thru my family. My kid’s don’t even really talk or get along any more. It feels horrible. Please help my family, at least if she gets the money back she can pay off her tickets and court costs.
