Shershah Indian restaurant had three telephone lines from AT&T. VERIZON sales representative walks in Sept 2007 to sell their package deal. The owner son signs the paper and following week cancels the contract. Mean time AT&T continues supporting and billing Shershah. Only in mid January 2008 (four months later) Shershah gets a call from VERIZON that "VERIZON is going to disconnect you". Why would VERIZON disconnect Shershah without AT&T saying anything? Several hours of daily calling AT&T from cell and home telephone VERIZON and AT&T customer support, Shershah does not get their telephones. Restaurant hires technicians to check internal lines and pay VERIZON to check lines but no results. To make things worse, AT&T will not sign Shershah and give them their original numbers or give them new numbers to operate their business. Took six weeks to get new numbers from VERIZON and restaurant loses several thousand dollars of sale, good customers and good will built on family operated business. Shershah needs justification?
