THIS AGENT FROM REMAX IS VERY SHADY, AND RUNNING CLOSE TO THE LINE OF BEING UNETHICAL. I WENT TO LOOK AT A PROPERTY SHE HAD UP FOR A SHORT SALE, EVERYTHING WAS FINE UNTIL WE PUT A BID ON THE HOUSE. AFTER PUTTING A BID ON THE HOUSE, SHE WOULD NOT RETURN ANY CALLS FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS. SHE WAS I GUESS TRYING TO RUN US OFF. AFTER SHE FINALLY RETURNED THE CALL TO MY AGENT, IT WAS NO LONGER GOING TO BE A SHORT SALE, THE SELLER WAS NOW GOING TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE IN THE AMOUNT HE WAS UPSIDE DOWN. WE SET UP AN INSPECTION FOR TUESDAY AND MY AGENT NOTIFIED HER ON THE PREVIOUS WEDNESDAY, THAT THERE WAS GOING TO BE AN INSPECTION ON TUESDAY. AS TUESDAY COMES AND WE ARE ALL THERE TO HAVE THE HOUSE INSPECTED, THERE IS NO LOCK BOX AND NO WAY TO GET IN. SO MY AGENT THEN CALLS BECKY TODD AND ADVISES HER THERE IS NO LOCK BOX ON THE DOOR AND WE HAVE THE INSPECTOR THERE. BECKY THEN SAYS OK, GIVE ME A MINUTE AND I WILL CALL YOU BACK. AFTER WAITING QUITE A WHILE MY AGENT TRIES TO CALL HER BACK AND SHE NOW WONT ANSWER THE PHONE. MIND YOU, THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME SHE HAS SAID SHE WILL CALL BACK AND NOT DONE IT, AND WOULDN'T ANSWER HER PHONE. HAVING THE INSPECTOR COME OUT WAS $275, AND IT WAS NON-REFUNDABLE. AFTER WE FINALLY CAN GET AN INSPECTOR IN THE HOUSE A FEW DAYS LATER, WE FIND HER SON SITTING IN THE HOUSE, TO LET THE INSPECTOR IN. AFTER ABOUT 30 MINUTES HER HUSBAND BARGES IN AND WE FIND OUT THE OWNER OF THE HOUSE IS A GOOD FRIEND OF THE FAMILY. WHAT A COINCIDENCE HUH? NOT HARDLY I'D SAY. SHE HAD US JUMPING THROUGH HOOPS JUST TO GET TO WHERE WE ARE AND STILL HAVEN'T CLOSED. NOW I GET THE APPRAISER OUT TO THE HOUSE AND THIS COSTS APPROX. $500. I GET WITH MY AGENT AT THIS TIME AND ARE READY TO END THIS CRAZY BUSINESS AND JUST MOVE IN.

AS WE APPROACH 2 MONTHS WORKING ON TRYING TO BUY THIS HOUSE, WE ARE READY TO CLOSE IN A WEEK. I GET A CALL THE DAY BEFORE CLOSING AND AM TOLD WE WILL NOT BE CLOSING. THE BANK HAS NOT APPROVED THE SHORT SALE. NOW IM IN TOTAL DISBELIEF...THIS HOUSE WAS NO LONGER SUPPOSED TO BE A SHORT SALE ACCORDING TO BECKY TODD. I AM LIVID AT THIS POINT, I CALL BECKY TODD MYSELF AND TRY TO FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON. SHE GIVES ME ALOT OF EXCUSES AND TRIES TO BLAME EVERYONE FOR HER LIES. THE TRUTH TO THE MATTER IS THE HOUSE WAS NEVER APPROVED FOR A SHORT SALE FROM THE START, EVEN AFTER SHE HAS POSTED ON MANY SITES "PRE-APPROVED WITH LENDER SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO A QUICK CLOSING."

I THEN CALL HER MANAGER/OWNER(JEFF KESTER)OF THE RE/MAX HERE IN SPRINGFIELD MO AND ADVISE HIM WHAT IS GOING ON. THE ONLY THING HE DOES IS MAKES EXCUSES FOR BECKY TODD AND ADDS IN HIS OWN LITTLE STORIES. SEEING THAT I AM GETTING NOWHERE WITH JEFF KESTER, I MOVE UP THE CHAIN OF COMMAND AND SPEAK TO THE INDIVIDUAL OVER THE MIDWEST. THIS GENTLEMAN IS JUST LIKE JEFF KESTER AND IS FULL OF EXCUSES AND STORIES TOO.

THIS HAS COST ME MONEY THAT WOULD OF BEEN AVOIDED IF FROM THE BEGINNING BECKY TODD WOULD HAVE TOLD THE TRUTH. NOW I BELIEVE THEY OWE ME AT A MINIMUM THE MONEY IT HAS COST ME TO BUY A HOUSE THAT WAS NEVER FOR SALE. IN A CRIPPLED ECONOMY, AND THINGS GETTING WORSE AND WORSE BY THE DAY, WE ARE NOW BEING LIED TO AND CHEATED BY THE PEOPLE THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE "HONEST AND ETHICAL". NO WONDER THIS COUNTRY IS FALLING APART.
