Verizon Telephone Piggy back scam - Miscellaneous charges for enhanced voice mail

I'm writing in regards to a charge I have on my phone bill for the past 3 months. I did not give anyone permission to bill me for this unknown service!

The total was $45.14 When I called to complain, the telephone company representative said "The government gave permission for these piggy back companies to charge the way they do."

I got a number to call ILD to complain. They said "they would refund me for two months." I insisted on getting a refund for three months because that is what they billed me for! They then told me "they would only refund me for $42.18 and that my phone company will have to pay the difference."

They also told me that "I had signed up for this online." "I did no such thing!" They then tried to tell me "someone else who has access to my computer did." I am the only one who uses my computer!

What the heck is this world coming too? This is so unethical!!! I wish people would start fighting for whats right!

I was told that my husband, Paul, signed up online on January 27, 2008. My husband passed away in September and I know I didn't sign up for it. I was asked how much I was being billed by Clear Choice. When I said .05 per minute, I was told that I would receive a credit and that the account was closed. I 'm waiting to see how long that takes. God help them if they continue to bill me. I don't make a very good victim.
