Re: IDT Long Distance Service Sudden Disconnect

To Whom It May Concern:
I am a long time customer of IDT. My bill has been regularly paid in full for over 5 years and recently I was trying to make a long distance call and learned that my service had been cut off without notice.
When I called IDT I was informed by the Service Tech, Blaine, that, while my bill was paid in full and quote “I owed no money to IDT”, my service had been cut off because I had exceeded some $150 dollar “limit” per month. When I asked for further clarification, she told me that I would have to pay $147 + to get the service reconnected. She then again verified I owed no money on my bill.
When I asked her to explain further she said she had no information and could not tell me where this policy was printed (it is not on my bill) or when I would have received any such notice. When I suggested that this kind of activity appeared fraudulent she agreed but said she cold not tell me anything further and that I would have to call back during the week if I wanted further information.
At this time I would like to request a full investigation of this matter and I would like my long-distance service re-connected at no cost to me with a full explanation of the disconnect action.
I appreciate your assistance in this matter and look forward to your prompt reply.
