VOLKSWAGEN Complaint

I WOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN A LEMON IF I WENT TO TOYOTA OF ORANGE - GOT TWO LEMONS IN A ROW FROM MCKENNA

- CERRITOS & HUNTINGTON BEACH LOCATIONS
Back in 2007 I purchased a VW Beetle from McKenna VW in Huntington Beach, I had many problems with this car but they didn't seem to all get fixed. I was worried about the car breaking down because of all of the recalls on the vehicle, and believe me there were many. All service was done at McKenna VW in Huntington Beach & then in Cerritos. I even doubled up on the payments because I was afraid that the transmission would go out on me, due to all of the blogs on line that I had read about the transmissions going out with no more than 60K miles on these cars. Well, the transmission did go out (with only 58K miles on the car). That's what they told me when I took the car in in February of this year. By the way, I had just picked up the car the day before and spent $700+ on the car for something else. Well, the manager let me sit for a bit and then he advised that the transmission was shot and it would cost $6400 to fix it! I didn't have the money, nor would I pay that kind of money to replace a transmission. I was stuck having to lease a VW Jetta and I have had nothing but problems with it. I became angry after taking the new 2011 Jetta in a couple of times and contacted several attorneys because I've had two lemons in a row from the same dealership!!! I have retained an attorney and she advised me to get the media involved. Also, when I called the dealership to get all of my paperwork on my car they faxed me over paperwork showing that they had sold my old car to someone else (Dominique Valdez - a 19 year old girl). I was shocked because they told me that my transmission was shot. Also, I did go back the next day with a friend of mine and she was there when I told them I wanted my old Beetle back that we were going to go to an attorney with my case. The salesman that sold me the car told me they wholesaled it out! Anyway, my old car that they told me the transmission was shot in was sold to a young girl and she had nothing but problems for months, and she had the same problems with her car that I had with the car. I have all of my paperwork and she has all of hers. They even tried to charge her for things that they had charged me for the day before I had the car towed back with the faulty transmission. Why didn't my warranty pay for the transmission? They told me it was because I had my oil changed elsewhere. Well, they sure did screw me, not once, but twice!!!! My payments are $500.00/month on a car that I've had back into the dealership for emissions leaks (twice) and the windows. I had the same problems with the windows on my Beetle but they never would fix them (even though there was a recall on the window regulator). Also, Ms. Valdez had the same problems with the windows that I did. They didn't even fix them when I left it there. I bet they just washed that car and put it back on the lot and she bought the horribly unsafe car that I had to have towed in a couple of weeks ago. By the way, they wouldn't even give me back the $700.00 I had paid for the car when THEY repaired it. SO NOW I'VE BEEN STUCK STUCK WITH TWO LEMONS FROM MCKENNA VOLKSWAGEN. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?

Please go on line and read all of the blogs about 2004 VW Beetles and especially the turbo's. Most blogs on there tell you all about the transmissions, the windows, the lights (I replaced 11 light bulbs in 3 1/2 years). Also, when I purchased the 2004 Beetle in 2007 it only had 13K miles on the car. It sill had the original warranty for 1 year and they wouldn't fix anything even though I took that car back about 10 times within the first 6 months I had the car.

Sincerely,

Deborah Black
