I was a SUCKER and got scammed - Travel

I got invited to listen to a Travel company's sales pitch. I got free airfare just for going. I had no intention of signing up, being sure it was going to be obviously not for me. However, it was so reasonable. It appealed to my love of travel, my upcoming honeymoon and my family's yearly travel needs. I saw how this membership could really save my family money. I was promised that this membership could get me a better deal for travel I had planned. It was a lie. They could not help AND never followed up on inquiry into further travel deals. I wrote a formal letter requesting a refund and spoke to the alleged owner. The company was already at that point named in a lawsuit. They claimed they were willing to refund but their assets were frozen because of the lawsuit. Further communication has been impossible: phones are disconnected and emails are never responded to. I have filed a claim with the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, but am not finding anything online about what's happened to this company. I fear I may never see this money back and with my wedding drawing closer, need that money back, especially now that it's not going to help save with travel!
