I want my account with Safe Touch canceled immediately.
Reasons are as follows.
Approximately 3 week ago at 2:30 AM a smoke alarm started beeping. (No one called us to say we had a low battery and which smoke alarm is was coming from) We could not sleep so I powered down the monitor and disconnected the backup battery. (The beeping stopped) This did prove it was not any of the wired smoke alarms that came with the house.
I called the next day after work and was told that Safe Touch smoke alarms do not beep, and insisted is was one of our “wired” smoke alarms that came with the home. I told the person that these were not Safe Touch smoke alarms, and were from ADT, which the safe touch sales person said they were perfect!
We changed the battery in the “wired” smoke alarm that was right next to the wireless monitored smoke alarm…… the wireless monitored smoke alarm was still beeping.
I also asked why we weren’t called, and was told that Safe Touch does not call for that problem.
A Safe touch technician came out, his name is XXXX. He assumed it was a bad battery in one of the wireless monitored smoke alarms. After this, the beeping stopped for a few hours and then started all over again.
Once again I powered down the monitor and disconnected the backup battery. (The beeping stopped)
I called Safe Touch again, and once again asked why we weren’t called, and was told and was told that Safe Touch tried to call. (This is now different than what the 1st person told me) I asked what phone number was called and was told XXX-366-XXXX. MY PHONE NUMBER IS XXX-365-XXXX. Safe Touch even had a wrong phone number!
The Tech came out and could not find the reason for this beeping, and was told that he will have to come back out in TWO WEEKS with another tech to help figure this out.
In the mean time, the beeping started all over again, and in the middle of the night.
I disconnect ALL the wired smoke alarms that came with the home, pulled the batteries out and put all five of them in our garage. I also did the same with the wireless alarms. Things were quiet for an hour or so. Then once again, the beeping started. There are only two things left now, the Carbon monoxide detector and the motion sensor. These are now disconnected. All was quite once again until 3 AM this morning
3 AM this morning, both key pads started beeping! Still we had no call From Safe Touch.
We do not want Safe Touch’s business and will sleep much better without them.
As of now we have 2 beeping key pads, no calls from Safe Touch, no monitoring, no smoke alarms, stressed and tired from lack of sleep, and are paying for your service.
Cancel my account today 4/29/2011, and refund one month of monitoring service. Now you have this in writing as you require to cancel your service, and also to the Better Business Bureau, Morgan & Morgan (Our attorney) and also on the internet.
I also had it notarized, just incase you may need that also.
