In 2007 my family of 5 moved into our home in bucks County. We purchased a fixer upper and one of the last projeccts was to replace the old windows. We contacted Window Wholesalers to replace 25 windows at a cost of approximatey $300 per window. Now I can elaborate much more if this story evers airs however to highlight the issues I will summarize below.
1. All of the windows were installed improperly.
2. Several were installed and cracked.
3. 17 of the windows had leaks due to improper installation.
4. This is validated since I had to pay $400 per window to have every window taken out and properly reinstalled. This costs me more than the cost of the original installation.
5. Untimately the water leakage resulted in mold damage to my interior walls.
6. My kids got sick and had to be put on nebulizers and inhalers due to chronic asthma.
7. The window company ignores any calls to address the problem.
8. The owners wife Marcy who is the customer serice thing yells at you, hangs up on you, made my wife cry, told me to go out and buy some caulk etc...
9. After years of slow leaks and interior damage, a big rain storm resulted in massive window leaking flooding my first and second floor.
10. The insurance company came out, since the first and second floor walls, insulation and carpets had to be removed.
11. At this point I again called Marcy and she ignorantly ignored me and hung up on me.
12. Several other big storms hit with water penetrating across beams and creating further damage.
12. I took out a home equity line to hire another company to pull out the windows and replace them or properly reinstall them. Since then no water leakage:))
13. For the past 3 years I have been trying to sue this company. However they have no location. They are a mystery. They operate out of an unknown location and have no showroom. You can not even send them registered mail.
14. Finally a Judge has permitted serving them via mail and their lawyer is now forced to respond.
15. We now know where they live but what we don't know is if they will pay for all the damages that they have caused.
16. This company is nasty, mean and downright disgraceful.
I have so much more to tell
I sincerely hope that you can put a camera on these people since they have a long track record of this type of activity. Also, I have two kids entering college and this whole window situation has cost me $80,000 in loans and devastated me financially.
