I purchased this unit from sears, on 09/15/2005 with a 5 years labor,10 years parts and condenser guarantee. the unit is a Kenmore Supreme 14 seer, 3 ton, 2 speed. In 2007 I started having trouble with the unit cooling the house. Sears was contacted by myself, a servicr tech came out charged the unit and left. In 2008 sears had to send a tech out about three times. In 2009 about 8 to 10 different thechs were at my house after I had to keep calling sears about the unit not cooling. They would have to charge the unit each time, the techs also performed tests to determine if the coil had a leak, their result was that it had leaks within the coil. The techs reported their findings to their supervisor and suggested that the coil be replaced. I talked to about 10 dept. supervisors and several of them had promised to replace the coil. On 07/20/2010 a tech was out charged the unit, said that he had to put over half the capacity of freon in the unit to charge it, he also stated that it have a leak and should be replaced. His supervisor refused to replace this coil. I later talked their Home Improvement Solition and their Quality Department supervisors with no results.
