Soon after the beginning of marital bliss, my new husband and I were rear-ended on our honeymoon. The girl who rear-ended us was so nice, really apologetic, knew it was totally her fault. She felt so bad that it was our honeymoon. We exchanged all our information and she assured us that her insurance, State Farm, would take care of everything. What was now wrong with our pick up truck: back bumper damaged (the least of our worries) and front control arm bushing broken, so the car now sits on the front left tire -- tilted down on the front left, and tilted up on the back right corner. (ie Now when I get in the passenger side, I'm higher up than the driver.) It drives in a circle to the left when the steering wheel is straight. Obviously something is wrong. State Farm is now telling us that our car is ready for pick up, with only a shiny new bumper as the only improvement. A shiny new bumper on a broken car? What good is that? Yet they insist the accident is not the cause of the control arm bushing being broken. They say it's "wear and tear." Really? Because I'm pretty sure my car didn't drive in circles before the accident. I'm so frustrated and have spent hours on the phone with them. We just got married and do not have the money to shell out to get something fixed that was not our fault for breaking.
