Our refinance delimma started in June 2009. Application and financial documentation was submitted, we waited three weeks and called in to inquire the status of our modification....We were told the Obama modification program is not installed yet...wait until next months..We called back a few weeks later we were told we were under review. While waiting for the determination my husband and I were laid off two weeks within each other. I called in to the mortgage co to notify them and asked what do we do now in regards to documents for our modification...I was told NOTHING..Wait until the negotiator calls you. OCTOBER 2009 we get a call from the negotiator, I explain I have recently found a job, but my husband is unemployed what docuemtnation would she need, she told me..it was submitted via fax that night..Two days later I call her to find out if she reviewed our new income documents, we were told we were denied...SHE REVIEWED OUR OLD INCOME DOCUMENTS AND DETERMINED WE DID NOT QUALIFY..Our documents were sent to the traditional modification dept, after reviewing their guidelines, I saw if you are on unemployment you will be denied. Half a dozen requests were faxed in for us to be transferred back into the Home affordable modification dept. We have contacted a HUD representative who spoke on our behalf, it did nothing. We contacted our state representative, it did nothing..Our file has been sitting in the traditional modification on Mr. Nguyens desk for five or six weeks now. He told me, he only does tranditional modifications and he is tryint to get someone in the Obamas home affordable modification dept to take ownership of our file, and they won't. We were never late on our mortgage, had pretty good credit which we tried to preserve by submitting our documents in to them within 24 hrs or less. It is now 7 months later and our file has not been reviewed and we are two months behind on our payments and not knowing where our next payment is coming from. Plus our credit is ruined due to the mortgage company not processing our file and letting it sit on a desk for months. Can someone help us PLEASE so we DONT LOSE OUR HOUSE.
