In June, 2008 I was encouraged by leffler energy to lock in a rate for home heating oil. I was told I could not purchase a service contract for my oil burner unless I agreed to automatic delivery and a locked in rate. I agreed to lock in the rate at $4.749 Through June 30, 2009. In the past six months I have lost 50% of my annuity and am struggling to make it through the winter
I called several heating oil distributors and found rates ranging from $2.11 To $2.35 Per gallon. I called leffler and explained the circumstances. They refuse to renegotiate my contract even though they will sell heating oil to a non-customer at the current market rate. Leffler insists that I must pay $4.749 And they deny the
conversation I had with their sales representative in June, 2008.
