Heat Surge Complaint

I bought an Amish Electric Heat Surge heater 2 years ago. I knew before I bought it that electricity costs the same no matter what, but I liked the looks and child safety features that a cheaper foot heater does not have. My complaint is the heater has gone on the fritz and I cannot replace it. After calling Heat Surge, I was informed they do not sell the replacement heaters in California anymore. What to do?
