It will be four years in May 2009 that I was ripped off by Benchcraft Builders of Burlington County. May 2005 I wanted to make some changes in my home. After searching the web I found this company (Benchcrafters) they came to my home, gave me an estimate, I gave them a check for $1,350.00 which was 10% of the invoice to do the remodeling work in my home. After a year went by and they had not even begun the work I wrote them a certified letter requesting my money to be refunded. They did not respond so I took them to Small Claims Court in Burlington County. I won the judgment because they didn't bother to show up. I have all of the documents to support my efforts to resolve this matter; including contacting the Better Business Bureau and the General Attorneys Office of New Jersey... They took my compliant but did nothing to help me recover my money and my cost of Court. Currently, I am still a single woman with a leaky roof and my homes' in need repair. Benchcraft really took advantage of that fact. They stole my hard earned cash and never looked back!!! I can't afford an attorney nor can I afford to throw that kind of money into the wind either, especially with todays economy. That money would go a long way in helping me to make some much needed minor upgrades to my home. If you would help me that would truly be a blessing.
