2 mattresses were delivered on 11/24/2010 to the address 40 Washington Parkway, Bayonne, NJ 07002. These mattresses were purchased by DYFS of New Jersey for the Hughes family. the items to be delivered were 2 new mattresses and one bunk bed frame. The mattresses delivered have no tags on them violating the law 26:10-2. Furthermore, the Hughes family believes that these mattresses make in fact not be new but may in fact be illegally refurbished and un-documented used bedding. The company responsible for the sale and delivery of the mattresses is Alba furniture of Union City, New Jersey with a phone number of (201) 974-1296. They're not doing you or anybody any favors by shoving these mattresses of on people who usually don't now enough to complain or don't know how to, or afraid to complain because they didn’t pay for the items, but a State Agency did. The removal of these mattresses from the home and the delivery of 2 new, documented and properly tagged mattresses is of immediate concern to the family and children of this home. There is a fine associated with sales of this nature, which are clearly against the law and safety of the citizens of this good state. Please act swiftly.
