Has the City of Denton lost its loyalty to its residents?
I have been living here all my life in Denton County but I just moved to the City a Little over a year ago and when I went to setup my electric and water and trash with the city I was told I needed a 175.00 deposit in which I paid. Now that I and my Family are having financial issues we were recently told we needed to leave to find a new lease home so we found a new home and when I called to see how much the deposit was I was told it would be $400.00!!! due to the usage from the prior owner. How do they expect the citizens to pay that kind of deposit in this economy. I understand hard times for the City but with them charging these kind of deposits is not right.
They have also charged me a toltal of 300.00 deposit on on my current account 175.00 when I started and another 175.00 about 3 months ago.
