water filer company gonna be knee deep in hot water - home water filtration system

In September of last year my wife and I participated in an hour and a half long in-home demonstration of a water filter system. For our time and trouble we were promised a complimentary dinner for two at one of four restaurants whether we bought the system or not. After approximately a month I made my first phone call to the company to see when we would receive our dinner voucher. The person who I spoke with said it could take up to 6 weeks and give it a little more time.
It is now February. After two e-mails, three separate phone calls to the company, one to the salesman personally and one more phone call directly to the lady responsible for the dinner vouchers AND finally reporting them to the BBB (to which the company refused to respond to)...I am now writing this. In the event the "check's in the mail" I am for now only posting this on-line. If after more time passes and still no dinner I will request this be put on the air. We had the exact same problem. Back in August of 2007 they came to our home for the demo after many phone calls and many falsehoods to the BBB we finally received a $25.00 certificate, to Outback Steakhouse, on October 24th. I can only imagine what there customer service might be for people that bought that product. Which, in my opinion, was a bunch of baloney. Did they do the microwave with butter trick? The day after they left, I smeared butter on my microwave and used my own water and a paper towel....tada, all the butter came off. Good luck with getting yours.

At least now I do not feel so bad. They did the exact same stuff to us - and we fell for their lies and misrepresentations. Either their representative was: incompetent, not trained in chemistry or their product, or a bald-face liar. Either way, our water did not need a "system" and the ph was not as he had made it out to be. These people would fit right in in Washington DC or Raleigh.

Customers of H2O Science Solutions shouldn't blame the Sales Reps. I know several who were screwed out of their salaries and commissions. One of them has a lawsuit pending.
This company has D- to F rating with the BBB and 61 complaints have been filed with the BBB in the past 36 months.

I got caught up in the same scam as you. Last September we had the almost 2 hour presentation with promise of two free dinner certificates. I was advised to send in a voucher for the certificates which I did on October 1. To date I have not received anything after countless e mails to which I get only an automated e mail response from a Ric Cline, stating he will be back with me shortly and also a report to the BBB in early December to which they closed after the company did not respond to their efforts. If there is ANYTHING I can do to help exploit this company, please let me know.

I'm experiencing the exact same problem. I sat throught the extremely long presentation and I was promised my certificate in December 2008. After numberous calls to the company and as of this morning, I was told by Cathy who answered the phone that she couldn't tell me when I would receive them and she was very rude about it. This is a scam and this company should either be shut down or made to stop offering gifts. This company is located at 10408 Lakeridge Pkwy, Suite 900, Ashland, VA 23005.

I have to say I got an even worse end of their lies. I actually bought their system. We were promised 5 years of free detergents and soaps. We bought the system in October and it is now February and we are still waiting. They say its on back order. One of the people who work for them told me do not expect to ever see it. I am so fed up with them

To Medusa that posted on 2/2/09, I too was sucked in, however, I bought mine last JULY - and after repeated phone calls, managed to get through and was given the back order story. I cannot believe I fell for such a scam. I'm out a bunch of money I didn't have - is there anything that can be done??

Forks I was a sales rep for H2o and I can tell you for sure that they tell the sales reps lies that pass down to the customers,after my 5th return check from the company. I started to ask question and discovered that the customers wasn't get what I had told them the company would give them. On behalf of me and my family all of the customers that I help to deceive please forgive me. The company owner apparently was stealing is what I was told so that what cause the financial problems

I was taken in by this same spiel. I got a call within 1 day from a man that asked if my rep. showed up and gave his presentation and I said he did. I asked him when will I get my meal for 2 and he told me my rep was to leave something with us to fill out and send in to get our dinner. My rep hasn't answered his phone, responded to email. He even told us at the presentation that he had interviewed for another job earlier that day as no one is buying these things due to the high expense. I expect I will never hear from anyone either.

Finally got my "gift card" after probably 4-5 months. It's a Dining Dough certificate which you redeem on-line and none of the restaurants are any place I would want to eat. I was supposed to get an Olive Garden card. I wouldn't have wasted the 2 hours of our lives for these paltry choices!

I purchased the filtration system and had the water tested by an independent lab (scientist a friend of mine) and he says some of the purest water he has ever seen and purchased a system himself. However, I have yet to see my free meal for 2 even after buying the system. Bad sales practices but an awesome product.

I worked for these crooks for about 2 weeks and they never even had gift cards avaliable for customers. We were told to just tell the customer they would get one at a later date bc they were on back order. It is all a lie and "every" person that works in that office is crooked in one way or another. Stay away people, stay away!!!

For as the supplies you get I waited 4 months same thing . They had to change companies for the old one couldn't keep up with demand. My system is 8 months old and I need someone to check it out. I have a problem with it. Finally after about 10 calls I caught someone in the office (very rude) Kept calling to get someone else because they didn't want to be bothered on Friday evening. They said they would send someone out. On the next Tuesday a guy called and said he would only come out if I paid $89 to him. I'm getting legal advice. Will let you know something soon.

I think my problem is the worst. I purchased my system in 3/08. I have been calling and e-mailing since 11/08 for products that I'm supposed to receive for free for 5 years. This is 3/09 I still haven't heard anything. The BBB couldn't help me. Now I am seeking a attorney. I'm buying products I shouldn't have to buy. They want to charge me $89.95 for them to look at the system. I'm making $130.00 a month payments for a system that's not worth $2.00. I'm going in the hole fast. I make my payments on time but I'm being ignored. This is not right. Even Stevie Wonder can see this is wrong, and he is blind. H20 Science Solutions is a rip off. That's the truth.

i had the same thing happen. for me, they said that they were doing water testing for nasa. and for testing my water i would get a dinner for two. 5 months later and several phone calls, i have never received my dinner. they are phonies and liars.

i was contacted by a co rep stating they were going to give me dinner for two if i would let them test my water. i agreed.
debra reynolds was a water technician that came to my house. she tested my water for an hour. then she started pitching her water filter. at the end she wanted 5k for a home filter. i said no. she gave me a voucher for a free dinner for two.
6 months later, i have still never received. i have called debra several times. no luck.

In reference to many of the comments below, let me first say, that I am the water tech mentioned in the post dated 05/04/2009, please let me extend my an apology for the department that handles the free dinner for 2, that of course is not my job as I am a water technician. To the person who made the post on 05/23/2009, I would love for you to do some research at www.allaboutwater.org, so that you may educate yourself on the difference between a water softner and a whole house water filtration system, soft water is just one of the many benefits of a whole house filtration system. In reading the post, I would love to refer you to the gentleman who wrote that he had the water tested by an independent lab and it was some the the purest water seen....Testing water for free is not only an extremely educational benefit to homeowners, this service is provided free of charge with no obligation to purchase a filtration system. My job specifically as a sub contractor......is to do a great homeowner awareness program, and offer a solution if your test results show anything less than desirable.

mid atlantic hydrology - aka h2o science solutions - ashland virginia - high point north carolina water purification - water softener - complaints - roger cline owner 336-906-9826 bill taylor (william) co owner and money man 336-848-6848 - cathy stevens finance mgr 804-412-0511 - percy sanford aka percy timmons aka the beast aka general manager -804-525-0944 ed geith puronics district vp 800-292-7003- greensboro north carolina also h2o -water service - purified water - ionics - puronics - nasa - salt system - telemarketing - dinner for two d42 - sales jobs - I am a recent sales person with the above mentioned company - h20 science solutions suckers sales people in and lies to them to pass on to customer with the promise of clean water and free dinner and free soap products. firstly i want to say the product from puronics is a great product and does work - but all the other promises we tell people about soap finance and dinner - have turned out to be lies - cathy stevens who handles finance is both rude and incompatent in her duties - costantly messes up the deals and then lies to the customer. the dinner for two has turned into a scam - good luck getting they were so far behind they changed it to dinner dough which is crap - i witnessed thousands of past mailings done many many months after - they misrepresent themselves and why were in the home - yes we are there to sell a water filtration device - and charge you 6995.00 but will go as low as 3200 to sell you that night. just ask percy who instructs us not to leave without a contract. these units are no more than a grand wholesale - but they have enormous over head. with the owners profit coming into play first. - many of you have purchased these units for various amounts of money - they do work but now we know what they cost after the fact find a reputable company to bye them from not the aforementioned companies - they will not fullfill there obligations they havent even paid thier employees in more than 6 weeks when everyone quit they just hired more who knows if they are recieving pay. the people we sell too never meet the people who actually run the company and this isnt the first time for them either thay went through this just in december. the owners only care about thier bottom line and spending money to bring people from north carolina and put them up in a hotel to the tune of thousands a month since jan - i tried calling ed geith and his only concern is the customers and he said he has not recieved any calls i provided his number to you above - the labor board in va said they havent paid the state since sept 08 and no one can get unemployment. they are not registered here according to the labor board. we have continually tried on behalf of customers and employees to get these thieves to do the right thing. they say they are broke. its a lie... you call the office to contact these people but they ignore the phone or cathy is out on a date with her boyfriend eric for a hook up since she is married- she leaves the office not concerned about any company problems other than her pay - they have several crazy people that they dont want iin the office but have no problem sending these phycos to your home. i will giving many more updates - my recommendation is get your water fixed it really is bad but run as far from h2o science solutions - or mid atlantic hydrology as you can - they do not have any moral value about decieving thier employees and customers. check the better business burea ratings - carefully under all names and locations - north carolina h2o science was owned by roger cline and someone he claims stole the money - but he is responsable for the above mentioned companies - good luck to all the employees and customers on finding a way to get them to own what they created. I would like to apologize to all the customers as we were fooled just like you - the product works just dont buy from them....... clean water for your family can be attained at a much more reasonable price prolly 3900 will get you completely fixed without the headaches - they only use financing with rates of 18 -24 percent no matter your credit - so shop around first the sales staff only say what wre told to in training but everyone seems to leave when they find out the truth company turnover rate is enormous... i was the top rep along with one other - even though lets make a deal percy - thinks he is.. thats all for now

ive texted mr taylor several times as i am trying to resolve the issue of pay that they are avoiding - i finally got a couple voices mails both threating and vulgar i was told he is waiting for me if i wanted my money then come down to highpoint and get it the tone of his voice is both disturbing and threating i guess he did not like the post i did on this page earlier i will be going to the state police and commonwealth atty office in morning to bring charges against these people they obviously dont care about anything but thier own wallets some employees actually lost thier places of living and abundant overdrafts depositing thier pay checks mr. taylor seems to feel he owes no one by the message that was left i am also in posesstion of a letter written to a customer by percy sandford claiming that a sales rep lied to customers however the employee still works for the company the truth is the rep only did what he was told thats why he still works at north carolina office these people ar all crazy and short a few cards the reall shame is some employees are still falling for the lies and continue to sell and hope to get paid i dont know whos dumber. the owners of this company should be locked up for what they are doing but no one really cares weather they are or not. if trying to collect our money and making them do whats right is a crime guess then were all guilty. but our phones ring all day with the collecytion calls so why shouldnt thiers.. till next time

well, the people at this company have no bounds beware anyone who challenges them be ready for repeated harassment by late night and early morning ringing and threats of being sued for what's said they will use any means necessary to get you to stop telling the truth about them with one exception paying you. or honoring their commitments. they really have no class but what they do have is money for the owner to live in room 207 of the comfort inn ashland while others they owe continue to struggle for their money. I would like it to be known they were told no less than 5 weeks ago this would happen unless they paid up - if you google the name percy sandford you will see I am telling the truth he is formerly of rainsoft and the complaints match. as well google h2o science solutions aka mid atlantic you will see they done this all before -percy's own sniperkris admits office is on way down and its rogers fault how would she know unless someone told her but they didn't tell us kept us working when they knew we would not get paid. the truth of the matter is their crooks and thugs - the truth must be getting out they only have 4 installs this month I guess even the beast couldn't save them with no competition there at all keep this company out of your home.

I've just been interviewed by state police had a great talk with them of course no surprises that they even lied to the police about emails and phone calls. nothing short of them getting out of va and paying everyone what's owed will this end. they have no right to be here according to labor board and suit pending there as well. thanks to all who keep providing vital info about these crazy crooks.. keep up the good work - we all will get paid and see justice is done for all they deceived...

went to mid atlantic like requested...got the cash owed turned in my kit...and told them to take down the big checks with my name on it......told them it was illegal to use my name to promote there company....and they are useing it to slander my name...mr roger cline told all new trainees that everyone with a big check on the wall was no longer there because they are all drug addicts now, coke heads and crack whores....that is what happens when you make the big money in the water business...i just paid bills with my money...but any way i said i wanted the big checks and they refused to let me have them but they have according to mr taylor...agreed to distroy them....after a month i am glad to be paid and rid of mid atlantic hydrololgy\h20 science solutions......they know i did a great job for them, they also know they treated me badly and slandered my good name...i know times are hard, the economy being what it is, but there are good jobs still to be had with honest and ethical people......to all my freinds with mid atlantic, i again apploud you.....we may not have won the war yet, but we damn sure won a battle today........

I too am proud of ya'll the war started seven days ago publicly but has Been ongoing privately for over 5 to 6 weeks they have been warned about the big checks on wall of mine as well they do not have my permission to use my name to entice new hires to work for them mr roger sniff sniff cline tried his best to make people believe everyone that quit was a abundance of different things but people put the big picture together by his own way of telling the story not everyones as dumb as he thinks kudos to all - I never did this to get my money I would like it but don't care if I get it my goal was to get everyone paid and out them for who they are - I have been told that rogers plan of revenge was to have me arrested the second I show up supposedly for stealing that's a hoot but I will not step foot on their property I have offered to meet him or bill off the property with witnesses but they have declined they want to get their revenge they now at least admit we ruined their business - with our postings and telling everyone about them - my advice to them remains the same - pay me or don't pay me my mission is not over till they are out of this state - between the tax man - labor board and my evidence this will happen. I am in possession of my kit which I wrote a check for 350 dollars and their marketing materials which are in a box waiting for them to come and get - here
what I requested -give me back my check I wrote for kit pay me every dime including my 100 dollar bonus that was promised my 15% commission and a detailed accounting of my money owed my big checks destroyed as to not to decieve others - and they can have their stuff and I will not give them a opportunity to get this without my request being fulfilled. that will not stop me even then from continuing to tell the truth about them in every way necessary within the law. Well these guys are doing sketchy things again, under the name of Mid-Atlantic Hydrology. Brought in a new training class who sold a "few" systems. More than two weeks later and they haven't been paid. Roger Cline claims that Bill Taylor is the problem. One of the stories told was that he was the problem with H2O closing. Supposedly skimming funds...etc. But get this.....he now (allegedly) has taken the money from the recently funded deals. I've been told so many stories even I can't keep them straight. Roger does have the balls to show his face which may give some credibility to his attitude of also being a victim. Today the latest training class has been dismissed after being sent home early the last two days of training. Why bring people in if you don't know if you can pay them or not? They supposedly have some new investors, but the story is that they're getting cold feet. Several folks are owed money, one from last month. We've all got bills to pay and no money. Don't know what to do.

I want to apologize to any customer that did not get what they were promised like soap packs, rebate checks, deferments and gift cards. The company has shut down but reopened under a new name. I just happened to find these complaints against H2O Solutions and didn't realize there were all these problems with the company and people not getting their "free" dinner vouchers just like me!! I have been trying since Aug 09 with calls and getting nowhere with the Greensboro/High Pt office. I've been getting a lot of telemarket calls from Southern Water in Greensboro, NC. Is this the same company? They lied and said it was not a telemarketing call. They said something was wrong with the water where I live. How can they know this? They CAN'T! I hung up. and have not answered them since.
