Termite damage was found Feb. 24, 2011 at my house under a termite bond that is renewed annually "Total Coverage Termite Protection Guaranteed"("Detailed Inspection, Customized Termite Protection, Complete Satisfaction Guaranteed" - this was their commitment) have contracted with Massey Services since May of 2000 now approaching eleven years this May. This was reported to Massey Feb. 24, 2011 and requested someone come and inspect. The local Manager showed up on March 3, 2011("24-Hour Response, if you have problem that is what you can expect from Massey") that is what their Great Service Guaranteed says. The manager spent a minute or less looking and said there is no termite damage and would have to come back and take a better look. So he returned on March 7th, and he spent a minute or less looking and said that there are no live termites so he had no responsibility. I requested his/Massey position in writing which I received on March 14th and was dated March 7th. I contacted the Regional Manager March 14th, with my concern. He scheduled an on site meeting for 3/17/11 with the Regional Manager, Risk Manager & Local Manager for Massey Services. The results of that on site meeting is that they want to bring their best contractor on April 19, 2011, who has been working with for them for eighteen years per Massey's Risk Manager this contractor will determine their liability for them.
I do not know what happened to "First we Gather All the Facts so you get the Right Solution with Massey Services, there is no "one size fits all" approach. First a trained, professional Massey Services Inspector thoroughly inspects your home - inside, outside, over and under". I am looking for "Massy Services Total Coverage Termite Protection: Your Best Protection, Guaranteed" & "Get Guaranteed Termite Protection for Your Home!". This is what I have been paying Massey for eleven years. My concern is that they seem to have great sales team, but they lack substance after you enter into a contract with them. I am concerned that this bond that they Massey say is the best in the industry has any value at all if it is not worthless. They make me feel like the only concern they have now is not paying for any termite damage or claim. So the warm fuzzy feeling that they gave me at the initial contract signing and annual renewal is rapidly becoming a chilly thorny feeling. A warranty is only as good as the company that stands behind it. Extremely frustrated & disappointed in trusting what I thought was a reputable company.
