In June 2006 Grossinger Chevrolet and James R. Mays approached me with a $1000 proposition to allow Grossinger to use my credit asa way for Grossinger to sell James a 2007 Chevrolet Impala. My first response was no; however, both Grossinger and Mays, contacted me numerous times after which I gave in and consented. Grossinger was informed at the table that I would not be liable to or for this car, and that if James became unable to pay for this car, it w ould be returned. To make a very long story short, Mays was not able to make even the first payment, and when I contacted Grossinger for the $1000 they promised, I had to threated Andrew the sales person with bringing the media into the picture before I was paid, in cash because as he put it, there would be no paper trail. Now, 8 months later I have been faced with a repossession as part of my new credit report which I feel could have been avoided had both Grossinger Chevrolet and GMAC allowed me to surrender the vehicle when it was clear that the purchaser was not able or willing to make the necessary payments. Such business transactions should considered illegal; and something should be done to protect the innocent consumers who are brought into such transactions. Please feel free to contact me if you too are a victim scheme. (773)287-5090
