I obtained a Visa account with Toyota Financial Services (TFS)earlier this year at 0% for six months and then at 10.00% afterward. My last statement of Nov 09 was at 10.00% and then I received my Dec 09 statement and it jumped to 13.00%. I called customer service to inquire about the increase and was told I received a separate notice informing me of the increase. My answer to that was if I had received the notice, I would have closed this account immediately and then asked to close my account at 10.00%. TFS told me that because I didn't respond by their due date they could not change it back to the lower APR. I asked for a manager and she told me the same thing and said I could write to the President, which I plan to do. It is so amazing to me how these credit cards services take advantage of their customers. It doesn't matter about your payment/credit history -- good or bad -- they don't discrimate!
