Brian Harris Chevrolet of Baton Rouge Complaint

"Good ol Boys blow me off" - 2010 Chevy Cobalt

- 15015 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge
I test drove the Chevy Cobalt. The salesman went over the features of the car with me. Afterwards I declined the car because he would not negotiate with me. I went to lunch, during which I phoned the salesman and said I would be by to pick it up. He rushed me through the paperwork, wouldn't let me see the car saying that he was having it washed. I spent an hour and a half waiting for my car to be "washed". I get in the car to leave and notice three small holes in my line of vision on the windshield. I stop, get out and ask the salesman. He explains it saying the windshield had been dirty and I didn't see them before. But for an extra 175 dollars you can have a new one. I leave the lot in a hurry to get to work. During the course of the next several hours I realize that the car I drove off the lot with was not the car I test drove. I called the police that night, but they said it was a civil matter and to hire an attorney. I went back to the dealership to get either my money back or the car I test drove. My salesman starts to say they must have pulled the wrong car in for the wash, but then backtracks and says that can't be because they only have the two. The silver one I test drove and a white one I never looked at. He told me to go across the lot to look at the car in the showroom I had sat in, to see if that was the one I was remembering. Of course it wasn't, but by the time I got back to his office he had called Brian Harris in. I told him my problem, he got belligerent with me telling me that The car I drove off the lot with was the one I bought. I kept countering with I agree, but it was NOT the car I test drove and believed to be buying. He refused to give me my money back or the car that I test drove. I hired a lawyer who specializes in consumer law. He took the case and my 500 dollars. My express wishes on 4 different occasions was that he contact the dealership and inform them that they had 24 hours to respond or we would file suit. He supposedly took 2 weeks to write this letter(I have never seen it) and then allowed Brian Harris to take 2 weeks to respond. The lawyers secretary sent me an email saying they received a response. She didn't say what was in it so I waited for a call from my lawyer. There has been none. Finally I called his answering machine and asked why. I inferred that perhaps he was waiting for me to call him so that he could charge me another 250 for the call. Meanwhile I filed a formal complaint with the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. I have called them 3 times asking what's going on with the investigation. Each time, the man in charge said I will have the investigator contact you. I have never heard anything. I ask you, how can there be an investigation when no one has contacted me?
I am quite sure these "good ol boys" travel the same circles. Their plan is to ignore me and I'll go away. They don't know me. I need help. I need someone to stand up with me and say this is not RIGHT. There are laws. I have contacted the FBI, and the local news station, both saying in effect that it wasn't their problem. Well it better be someones problem because this isn't about this one incident. This kind of thing is a daily occurrence all over the country(the FBI informed me). The American people getting screwed and having no recourse. How long do you think that volatile mix mix will continue to simmer before exploding or imploding with dire consequences?
