In response to advertisement, I contacted with Go Green Lawn and Landscape service in the month of April, 2011 to get an estimate in maintaining our lawn with mowing and fertilizing. At our first meeting, the owner of the company came and told me that their service is unique as they do lawn care in golf field. He gave me a price with $129/month for 9 months service of mowing and fertilizing five times with weed control over mulch. He also indicated that if I see any weeds they will come and will take care of weeds. After a month of first treatment, I saw my backyard and front yard are full of weeds. After calling couple of times they treated my lawn. Within a month, I began to notice that my lawn was thinning. I was concerned and called the company several times and left message but no response from their part. One day when I was at home I found that lawn mower was mowing my yard. I did indicate him why my lawn is getting thinner. He indicated that his company is using fertilizer that will help in growing roots but not the grass as their fertilizer is environment friendly. Within few weeks, I noticed that my grass was getting brown and dying. I called them again and left messages. After trying several times, I got hold of the Owner of the company and he said, he is going to take care immediately. The guy who showed up, mentioned that it is very hot this year for which my grass is getting thinner and dying. I immediately showed him my neighbor’s good lawn. I called an independent contractor to come look at my lawn and he said it appeared to have been sprayed with too many chemicals. I also got an estimate of $2,500 to fix my lawn. I asked Go Green Lawn and Landscape service to indicate what type of chemicals they have used on my yard. They never disclosed the chemical. The complete lawn eventually did die and I lost both my front and back yard grass and a lot of topsoil due to the rain runoff. One thing I noticed that grasses on the area under shed did not die. It was clear that all were due to the exposure of some kind of chemicals they used that I did not know and authorize it. I started taking pictures of my dead grass in the backyard as well as front yard. When I called Go Green Lawn and Landscape, the owner said that he is going to take care of my lawn and fix it. Nothing happened. My lawn is full of crabgrass and weeds with bare soil (no grass).
I received a bill from Go Green for all services that caused my lawn full of crabgrass and weeds along with discoloration of my grass. BE CAREFUL OF COMPANY WHO DOES NOT DISCLOSE WHAT KIND OF CHEMICALS THEY USE ON YOUR YARD.
