I was driving in my Hummer H3 on a flat dirt road, going 40MPH when the rollover/side impact airbags deployed. My young son was also in the vehicle. I have witnesses as to the location and road conditions of that day. The GM Dealership told me to contact my insurance, even though there wasn't any accident. I contacted GM Product Assurance and opened a case. My vehicle sat at the dealership for 30 days and nothing was done to fix it. GM sent out a "forensics" investigator. It was after that when GM called to say there was nothing they could do for me. Even though I have GM case numbers of other similar H3 airbag deployments where GM did replace the airbags due to a faulty rollover sensor. After 2 months and $7,000 in repairs and rental car fees, the vehicle was finally fixed. I'm not sure what to do other than hire an attorney. Any help would be much appreciated. I would hate to have the airbags prematurely deploy on anyone else.
