Jeld-Wen is a large global manufacturer of windows and doors. I believe the 2nd or 3rd largest in the industry. A multi-billion organization.
I purchased an entire package of Jeld-Wen windows and doors ($75,000) for a new large oceanfront residence in Hernando. Jeld-Wen sent me all the wrong products and they all failed Florida State inspection.
These products were supposed to be “impact” rated for hurricanes, they are not. Instead, Jeld-Wen sent me inferior products that are deadly in a hurricane. These products will blowout and can kill my family and fellow Floridians for miles.
Jeld-Wen and its Authorized Tampa Dealer both refuse to correct the problem they created and are instead fighting me in court. Both are knowingly complacent with these deadly products killing Floridians while we battle this out in court. Their lead Attorney had the nerve to send me a letter that offers his sympathy.
A strong David and Goliath story that could be catastrophic if not resolved before a hurricane hits. Also offers suspense that can be covered during trial in Hernando court.
