California eStore Scam - Discount PDA's

- San Gabriel, CA
The company claims to sell "trade show" and "oem" pda's at discounted prices. She mistakenly ordered a windows base pda and found out only after trying to return it that the 7 day refund policy was not at refund but a store credit. The first pda was clearly a "used" product. It was not even a good "refurbished" product. The replacement order was to be 2 "oem" Palm pda's. A Palm tx and Z22. Again, both were clearly "used" products and not "oem". The tx had been used so much the on/off button barely works and the palm logo was nearly rubbed off. The z22 was badly scratched on front and back. The display screen is clearly defective and hard to read.

Also, they charged me twice for 2 day air shipping and shipped ground. They owe me $377.88.

There is no way to reach the company directly. Their online chat does not work and their customer service reporting is designed to deliver a canned response.

My wife did her due diligence by checking reviews with nextag, bizrate, and pricegrabber. Clearly, these firms will accept any rewiew sent to them which makes it easy for a company to sandbag their reviews by having friends, family, employees, etc write reviews or they open multiple email accounts and fake the reviews themselves.

While trying to find some online news of the company information I found they are being indicted and have been investigated by Microsoft for selling pirated software. I have disputed the charges with Visa and reported the problems to the California BBB. I do not have the money to go out to California and file a small claims lawsuit. Companies like this have to be stopped.

For the news stations this is a perfect way to get the news out to consumers not to do business with anyone that does not have a customer department with phone and access. Also, please inform consumers not to do business with any online company that does not offer full refund in writing. Do not trust reviews buy a third party company that reports lowest prices etc. In short, stick with Amazon, Abebooks, Apple, Borders, Microsoft etc., in other words major name brand companies with proven track records.

I bought a battery replacement kit for my Zune 80Gb from this site and the package that I received didn't come complete (it was missing a key screwdriver needed to open the Zune MP3 player). I have call several times and never received a response, only the answering machine. Don't buy from this store!
