Getting scammed by Automobile High Performance Shop - New engine and transmission installed as well as other specialized high performance tasks

- Laurel Maryland
Over a period of 2 year span I gave a high performance shop funds to the owner a totol of $ 15,000.00 for specialized parts for my MAzda RX 8 2005 for a Rotary engine and a tnsmission and several other specialized parts that ha to be special ordered and made. The mechanic kept asking for more money to get these parts needed s tey can be specially made In the end the final conclusion was that I still did not see any progress with my car, he just kept making excuses that they are still being mad and hese things take time. I recntly beame more suspicious and discovered that he was going out of business and the money was not being used for the correct purpose. He stated that the money he used to pay other bils anf that he owes a lot of people money and he is not able topay it back. I made a a wrritten agrement and had himn sighn it but realize that he is not going to hld up to his end of the bargain at any point and time. I would lkie to be reflunded or hae a lien placed on his pesessions or file a crminal case. IN addition other customer I havespoke to with similar experiences ant to fle a class action suite. This is fine with me but feel that more needs to be done because this involves a lot of money.
