My son was born with Crouzon syndrome and we have been trying to get him social security benifits for almost 2 years now. He has been denied several times by social security so we called our congressman, Jerry Lewis for help. He seemed very helpful at the start and now is not returning my calls. Some of my sons medical history includes, blindness, seizures, breathing issues(asthma) cronic croup, GI problems and also the medical problems of the syndrome. We are currently at Loma Linda Childrens Hospital. He is recovering from one of his most challenging surgeries to date, Leforte 111. This will be his sixth surgery. Its has him in hospital for 2 or so weeks and out of school for about 3 months. His continious medical needs are mentally and financially draining our family, his twin brother, his 4 year old brother myself and his father. His doctors have submitted letter after letter stating that his disabilities more than qualify him for social security benifits, but we still are getting nowhere. I ask for help for my son to get the medical assistance he deserves. Thank you
