Two college students and myself started a business from the bottom up, we bake specialty goodies for people who have food allergies. Gulten/ wheat free
lactose free, and sweets for diabetics. We went to all the markets to make sure it was a need. We saved our money from sales to open up a business. As time went by it came to my attention that there was going to be a great Seminar to better our business and to help motivate us in this recession. The tickets were large, in color, and had as speakers-with there photos on the tickets (Rudy Giuliani, Bill Cosby, Rick Beluzzo, Terry Bradshaw, Laura Bush, Brian Tracy. Howard Putnam, Steve Forbes, and Gen. Colin Powell). We paid for the executive seating area, but that never happened. Two of the speakers spoke for 15 minutes or so, then out came a sales man that was not mention on any information that we were given. He went on and on and on about his software package would make us rich. I feel that this whole Seminar was a fraud.
We were never taught what was promised, (communication skills, Management skills, Customer service, Team building, Organization, People skills, Increased productivity, Time management, and Goal Achievements. It was and is written on the tickes. Instead we were introduced to a scam artist. The people that indorsed him were the people I stated above. I believed in these people or I would not have took my two students that I am mentoring to this seminar. I felt as though, I had been raped of my dignity in front of my baking crew. This seminar is a scam with big names attacted to it, with no mention of the sales gimmick. I have called the better bisiness bureau, my business credit card, The Attorney General, and now you. I feel as if these so called important people that help run our country cheated the people of Oregon and got away with it because of who the are. We the people do not even have enough income to feed our families. The unemployment is sadding. I feel that I have been cheated, and our own government is allowing it. It is a very sad day in America when a small bussiness is trying hard to achieve it's goal and help others achieve their's. You can't trust anyone anymore. Maybe I will Just stop trying, give up, shut my doors, And move to a different Country.
