My mother is a senior citizen she broke a tooth and got a realy bad infection. Her dentist told her she could use a GE Money Credit Card to pay for the work if she could not pay for the work in full.
When contacting GE and spoke with a service representative she was told that she could pay her bill every month when her social security check came in so her bills would not be late and she could pay the bill of in one year without any interest.
My mother spoke with Nancy a GE Money representative and requested that her due date for the bill would days after the 30th so that he social security check could be deposited, mailed and received before the due date so there would be no interest or late fees. Nancy made my moms payment due on the 30th of each month when social security deposited here check into my mothers bank. How can GE Money get their payment if Nancy made the payment due on the same day my mothers check is received in CA. Their company is is Florida.
The GE Money representative Lied so my mother would have to pay late fees. I have checked on line which states GE Money has SEVERAL UNFAIR CONSUMER PRACTICE COMPLAINTS against them. They are being SUED for outragous fees and for unfair business practices. They do not responding to any customer concerns. They have taken advantage of seniors just like my mother who are on FIXED INCOMES and I want it to stop. They charged my mom over $200.00 in late fee's when my mother was told because here social security check arrived on the 30th of each month GE set the payment due on the same day. I would sincerely like to request that GE Money be investigated for their unfair business practices especially for those customer who are on fixed incomes like my mother is is 68 years old. When I try to contact the GE corporation, GE Money and nother companies affiliated with GE Money NO one has a number where I my mother or anyone else can speak to a live person. I have checked www.complaintsboard.com, the BBB and have found several other comsumers who have been taken by this company.
