I requested a Care Credit account 2008 biggest mistake I have made. In May 2009 I pulled a credit report and to my surprise my account had been closed by grantor. I was shocked because I was not behind on my payment and a few months prior they gave a credit line increase. I attempted to contact them multiple times to find out why and every time I would get a real person they could not explain to me why or they just didn't understand me due to there customer care department being outsource to INDIA communication is very difficult. My interest rate increased when they closed this account and I tried to resolve this issue with no success. After many attempts to pay the original amount owed and request for them to correct my credit report, disputes filed in writting, by phone, through CRA, and thu Consumer Affairs Department I have got nowhere but bad credit and collection agency reporting so now it is on there twice.
After speaking with the Consumer Affairs and was told not to pay until they adjusted the amount disputed, because I would be assuming responsibility for the amount they state I started getting telephone calls 10-15 times per day all hours 2am,11pm, 6am you name the called. Harrrassment. When you speak to the supervisors they give you the run around if you even get to talk to them. Every time I was redirect to the 866 number which is where I started from or I would speak to someone and they would give me a name and then I would call back to speak to that supervisor and they sould tell me there was no such person.
In todays economy businesses should be trying to gain the consumers trust but it is obvious that GEMB does not care about there customers. Please investigate this company.
