We sold our home in Cape Coral, Fl and had plans to mvoe to Houston, Tx so contracted with All USA Van Lines moving company to move our furniture, we first had it taken to their storage facility in Tampa to store until we found a home in Texas. They quoted us approximately $4400 to move to Texas.
They are trying to charge us $4279 for storage and move to Texas. We now have found a home to purchase in Florida and want the furniture moved there from Tampa, however, they are trying to now charge us $5600 for the move, more than the move to Texas. In Florida movers charge by the hr for moving, the average is $85 per hr so I requested a quote from them as if a new customer making the same move from Cape Coral, Fl to storage and then to Port St Lucie. They quoted me a total of $2424. I then sent them a registered letter agreeing to pay them this amount, I have made and left several voice mails, sent a number of emails with no response. We are now ready to close on our home August 26th and need our furniture delivered so we are trying to resolve this or we will have a home and no furniture.
