One morning, while listing to my favorite radio
station. I heard first caller with correct answer.
what is the capital of Texas? I was like that's easy
cause I'm from Texas, not only did I get the correct
answer but I also was the 7th caller, so what did I win
two trips to three locations of my choice with a third
choice for being the 7th caller as well. But there was
a catch there was a activation fee $289 so it's not
free after all. The representative over the phone stated by law this fee had to be payed before reciving the prize.
So I am thinking ok the taxes cause evening when you
Win the lotto you have to pay the taxes on the money.
As naive, as I may sound I agreed to the fee. I had a
gut feeling that something was not right (always
listen to your gut feelings). I stated to the representative that I didn't count with that amount in my checking account she said don't 'worry I will talk to my supervisor about holding off the charge until funds were deposit in to my account. She asked for my visa card number I told
her I did not feel comfortable giving her my info she
stated once more don't worry this is a well known radio
station you can trust us. I gave her my card number .
after I was tranford to the supervisor he quickly
stated this will be recorded he ask me for my visa #
again assuming the prior representative had let him know about
my account not having enoungh funds to support the
amount requested of me not wanting to loose the
opportunity to go on this trip. I agreed to the amount
of $289 plus 9.99 shipping cost for info on trip and
I repeated to him the amount I was agreeing to, so to
wrap the recording up, he stated so you agree to the
total amount of he mumbled it was so unclear that it
was not even numbers. I agreed because I already had
repeated to him what I was agreeing to before, So I
trusted his words. Come to find out they over charged
my visa for $383.98 ,$85.98 more then I agreed on also.
They charge me the same day, which I let the representative know
I did not have enough money in my account to begin with
I contacted the representative he let me know the moment you
agree the transaction is made. That maybe the other rep
that attented me the first time, that let me know I had
won the the trip was not aware of that detail. Also
he was very rude saying you agreed you can call and
complain to who ever but I will not be getting my
money back. I tryed calling the radio station to
let them know they stated it was a paid advertising
and were not directly involved, But why did the reps
state it's a trusted radio station listed by many
you can trust us. So Be ware of GO RELAXE AIRLINES !!
They will ripp you off
