Chase Manhattan Bank Complaint

Fraudulent text messages from JP Morgan Chase

- Brooklyn
Three day in a row, I received at least 6 text message all within one minute of each other on both of my cell phones stating that I should contact the number given and follow instructions. Here is a copy of the text:

845-445-6564@chase.com / / You have received a new JPMorgan Chase banking message. Call now
free : 1-845-445-6564 and follow instructions.

Concerned about the urgent call, I phoned the number above, and was asked to put my account number as well as my pin number. That's when I hesitated and did not do it.

Then I looked at another text from Chase, and it was entirely different. They did not ask me for my account number they already knew it. Chase NEVER uses JPMorgan on the text messages. I went to Chase and they advised me that these were fraudulent scams. I believe the public as well as innocent people should be made aware of this horrible scam.
An automated British voice answers stating that your account is restricterd and to please enter your account number and then your pin. I did not do it.

Their slip up is: whenever I receive a text from the real Chase they don't use JP Morgan and ask for an account number they already know it.
I am forwarding this to Channel 5 news.

Sincerely
Irene Cancellieri

This letter was sent to the abuse dept. of Chase Manhattan Bank.
