I need your help. Like many Americans in 2011 I fear the dentist not because it is a particularly painful experience in a literal way.
When I was referred to Endodon'tic & Periodon'tic Associates Ltd of Illinois for root canal work I was resolved to using my dental insurance to pay for one-half of the cost and pay out of pocket for the other half…painful enough. All I requested was that they proceed with the work at a pace that didn’t exceed the coverage of my insurance.
Ironically the financial pain Endodon'tic & Periodon'tic inflicted was a direct result of the anesthetics they used, including nitrous oxide to prevent the physical pain. While I was still under the affects of the medications they requested I sign documents to make me responsible for any and all procedures they performed beyond the agreement with my dental plan.
Oblivious to what I signed while I was mentally compromised, I continued to ask them to work up to the annual limit of my dental coverage. I purposed that I would return in January to continue. With a wink and a nod they ignored my request, finished up at their convenience and demanded payment from me 100% out of pocket. To make matters worse, their work is now falling apart in my mouth as I write this to you.
Endodon'tic & Periodon'tic has an order to garnish my wages at my employer dated May 12, 2011. “Right is right and wrong is wrong and wrong is no man’s (or Doctor’s) right.” Will you please intervene on my behalf?
Sincerely yours,
J P of Evergreen Park, IL
