Direct TV Complaint

My ex husband had direct TV, after our divorce he ordered direct TV until the sale of our house. He went off on a meth binge when the house sold. I tried to give the receivers back to direct TV, they refused stating the account was solely in my ex husband's name and I "could be trying to pull a fast one on them". I told them he was on a drug binge. They would not take possession of the receivers. Now a year later they state I was on the account and I owe them $487.57.
I have tried to call the 888-297-0431 number after being on hold for over 30 min. I gave up.
I had to file bankruptcy because of my husband, this account was not on it.

How can they do this to a disabled woman barely making it in life.
