Department of Law & Investigation Complaint

foreign fall call saying there from the Department of Law & Investigation

- I live in North Carolina
My son received a call from someone stating that someone was comming after him for fraud on a loan. The person that called him even knew his social security number. After telling him over and over that he did not know what they were talking about my son hung up on him. The number keeps calling him and he is not answering it. I called the number off of my sons cell phone 1-509-588-1704 and the person that answered just said hello and I ask for his name and he said Christopher and ask for his last name and he said Berry. I said what company are you with and he stated Department of Law & Investigation. This person had a foreign accent and you could hear telemarketers in the back ground. I then proceeded to tell him that his company was a scam and to stop calling my son and he told me that they would be comming after me too. (they, I don't know who he was referring to), and then hung up on me. I went on yahoo and typed in Department of Law & Investigation and got a whole page of complaints from people this is happening to. One complaint said the person knew their ssn, home address, license number, etc. How are these people getting this information? One of the complaints I read said that he applied for a cashnet loan and paid it off and that these people were referring to that loan and through an investigation through his bank because they took money out of his account, he found out that his information had been sold to these people. This is very scarry to know that they know my sons ssn. It needs to be put in the media to let people know this is going on. Thank You, Shirl
