I am writing you today to ask for your assistance.
I am an member of the the Fitness First club here in Maryland.
Last Monday night while I was attending a dance class, the
big mirror that covers the entire wall fell and shattered on my head
and on my ankle.
My sister drove me to the ER and according to the
hospital paperwork I was diagnosed with concussion, contusion and mild head
injury.
I am wearing a leg brace right now and have been getting headaches.
The manager at that time said that they will pay for my medical bills.
When I called them today to ask for their company's insurance information,
I was told to call their corporate office.
I called the corporate office twice today. On my first call at 1pm, I was told
that the person I need to talk to is not available and just wait for their
return call.
On my second call around 3pm, been told that the operations director
is in a meeting and I was given her email address. I tried to ask for the direct
number instead
but the girl didn't give it to me - she said email is the best way to contact
this person.
I sent Amy (their operations director) and email today at 3:30 and have not
received any
answers yet. Their corporate office closes at 8pm.
This mirror that fell on my head - already fell in my zumba class months ago but
luckily, the people in the class were able to catch it.
The staff moved the mirror in the back temporarily. After a few days, it was
back on the wall again.
After my accident, when I mentioned to the manager that its the second time that
this mirror fell,
he said he didn't know that it already fell before.
I really need your help. I need to seek justice for what had happened to me.
I also want safety for the other members of this gym.
