I purchased a newly built Townhouse in Cypress, CA. The closing date was April 2010. By November of 2011 the new appliances were troublesome. Apparently the "Frigidaire" Microwave AND Dishwasher both malfunctioned! In-fact, had I not been home to smell the electrical malfunction with the dishwasher...I am sure I would have had a fire. In follow-up I telephoned the Electrolux Company (for Frigidaire) in Augusta, Ga and filed complaint for both products. Unfortunately, I did not purchase an extended warranty and basically am "out of luck". I tried to explain, in the event of purchasing a new home I expected my appliances to service me more than 22 months! However, there was no understanding and I was told they could not or would be able to help. In lieu of my conversation with Frigidaire I have written a letter to the Better Business Bureau complaining about the service.
I am hoping after purchasing a new home in 2010 that Frigidaire/Electrolux might assume responsibility for faulty product and reimburse us with new product or compensation.
