I made an appoitment for my brother at Ferber Dental for dentures. THey were super nice upon the appointment. Had no problem taking my cash. Called them to come back in as my brothers lower plate was very loose. They did file the one side down and said that all lower dentures fit people loose. But for the price of $79.00 they could put a soft liner in them or for $350.00 they could put a hard liner in. Now I was shock as the dentures were only $359.00 each.
I also asked if they made the finale pair in six months which the reply was no and that they informed my brother that the $1068.00 that it cost to pull 6 teeth and the dentures would only last 1 year. Now was I ever upset and I asked why was I not informed this as I would have walked out and went to another dentist closer to home and I now see a much better deal. Ferber advertises dentures for $359.00 each plus tooth extractions at $25.00 with the purchase of dentures. Upon talking to others they said they were charged $50.00 per tooth. While there we should of ran out of there as people were there complaining about their dentures fitting loose and would now have to pay to have them fixed. To me this is their way of making more money off people. We left their office and went to another place that charged half of the price for a soft liner and for the same price you get 2 sets of dentures. It would ofcost me about $250.00 more at the other place but it is closer to home and in the long run less. I just want to know if anyone else has had trouble with their dentures not fitting properly and then being charged to correct them.
