I went to purchase a preowned Acura and spent about 3 hours test driving a couple of cars and negotiating with the Sales person. When we agreed on the deal the Sales guy went to get sign off from his manager. We were hoping we were finally done; however instead of the Sales guy his manager came and said that the Sales guy did not have the authority to commit to a price, and that we'd have to pay a few grand more than what we had agreed to. When we complained that if that was the case they shouldn't have wasted our time by making us negotiate with the Sales guy, he started swearing and misbehaving... at one point he even screamed 'Get Out'. This is not my first car purchase, so I have seen all kinds of negotiation tactics like 'Hardball', 'Good Cop/Bad Cop', 'Delay tactics' etc., but I was totally shocked to see a Sales Manager behave like this. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere and will never put my foot in that Dealership again.
