Liberty Mutual/Lack of resources for elderly persons when disaster strikes Complaint

Elderly sisters displaced from home/Liberty Mutual denying claim - Insurance/Social Sevices

- St Louis MO/University City, MO
My mother, aged 77 suffered a catastrophic loss to her home on or about March 4, 2011. She is elderly and her older sister, who is mentally ill resides with her in her home in ST. Louis County/University City, MO) 63130. Sewer water backed up into her basement due to a clog and the severe rain water that few during the proceeding days. Her gas and electric were disabled due to the water that was in the basement. Extreme mold also grew due to the wood/drywall and other building materials in the finished basement. When she notified us (my brother-he resides in San Diego, CA and myself) of the water in the basement, we made arrangements for a plumber to come out the home on the same day, and I traveled from Memphis to remove her and my aunt from the home, within a few hours of learning of the hazardous conditions and paid for them to sleep in a hotel. We made the insurance claim with Liberty Mutual on March 7, 2011 and as of today the claim adjuster is still considering accepting the claim, have not classified the loss and my Mom and my aunt are in jeopardy of being displaced/homeless because their housing costs will no longer be covered. Her home was deemed inhabitable by the county municipality due to the loss of utilities, and water damage, we also obtained an IH Report that reports severe mold and other hazards.
