Atlanta Gas Light discconected my 80 year old mothers' services for non payment. She had a higher thqn usual bill because of a gas leak. After I paid the bill I was told that they would come out and reconnect. They have not reconnected and it's been over two weeks. They say the payment was made but they didn't know they were supposed to reconnect. I explained to them that there was an elderly woman living alone and it was important that she have hot water to bathe in. I spoke to a Mr. Richard ( Tues 08/2010 about 4:00PM) who said he would take care of things if she called and spoke to him. After she called she was in tears. They wanted to have her pay new account fees and deposits after Richard stated he would not charge her for those things She should not have to pay for a new account because of their failure to acknowledge her payment and reconnect fees.
