My employer uses Edie Bailly to administer our daycare spending accounts by taking a fixed amount out of each paycheck. Periodically, I submit a reimbursement form to Eide Bailly to get the money out of the account.
Eide Bailly's policy is that if you submit the reimbursement form by Thursday they will forward my money back to me the following Friday.
I submitted my completed reimbursement form on May 2, 2011 which meant that I should have had my money on Friday May 13, 2011. The money never came. On Wednesday May 18, 2011 I contacted Eide Bailly to find out the problem was. They confirmed they did receive my reimbursement form on May 2,2011, however it did not get processed. I said that I understand and then asked when I would I get my money. They said I would get my money the next Friday on May 27, 2011. I asked why and they gave me some long explanation about the process. I then asked what they were going to do to make this right by me. They said they were sorry but there was nothing they could do. I asked why I should have to pay for their mistake. They did not and would not answer. All they did was apologize. I said that was nice but an "Im sorry" would not pay my bills or buy groceries. They kept passing up the line to the next boss but no one could answer me. I tried to explain to them that when a restaurant makes a mistake on my hamburger at least they give me a new hamburger. All Eide Bailly would do is say that they are sorry. They would not explain why they thought it was fair for them to mess up and for me to have to pay for it. The thing that I do not is understand is that according to the internet this is a 152 million dollar company. I do not earn anywhere close to the number yet they believe that they can make a mistake and I, the little guy, will have to pay for it. I must have talked to at least five people and none of them where able to help me or do anything for me. I have given them many chances to make this right, but they refuse. That is why I am writing this today to let the people know how Eide Bailly conducts business. I doubt that I am first person to have a problem with this company.
