My 98 Honda air bags deployed at will last week as I parked my car. My insurance company nor Honda will cover the damage. I of course would like my car fixed since I now have no transportation & lost my $3,800 asset. This is no fault of my own.
My bigger concern is consumer safety. What happens when the air bags go off at will while traveling 65 MPH! Who's to say it hasn't happened already & killed people, who would know if the driver is dead. In my research I have found that Honda has a recall on my make & model frontal air bags & a condition called Inferior Algorithms: electronic air bag sensors with inadequate algorithms can deploy or even fire for no reason at all, which is what happened to me.
I believe consumers need to be aware of this safety issue and possible hazard. I would appreciate any help in this matter.
