Doctors office verses Insurance Company or Employment Complaint

Doctors charging patient for completing insurance forms. - Charging the patient for forms the doctor has to fill out in order to get benifits

- Grand Junction, CO
I was seriously injured in March of 2007. I have insurance that pays the charges as well disability benifits from another insurance, and sickness benifits through the government. Every time I was seen by the doctor, each of these insurance companys wanted copies of doctor's notes. About every six weeks we had to fill out a form other than the doctor's notes. I understand some of this is a must, but I think it goes a bit to far when the insurance says they are not responsible for the bill to fill out the forms. Also I feel the office visits I am in at the time of the forms being filled out should cover for the cost of this. The charges can get rather expensive. I think this is wrong on both the doctor and the insurance. I just happen to have good insurance, what about others that don't? I want to do something about this.
