I dread anytime I have to deal with DISH TV on anything, weather it be an upgrade or a service problem. Today's problem is upgrading my existing service. They want me to change my day all around, take time off to be here for a service person. They tell me between 8AM and 12 noon the person will arrive. I get a call at 9AM from this person who is still in his office 200 miles away! Trying his best to speak English, he wants to know how to get here. This is not right, there are DISH TV dealers all over town here and they send a man 200 miles! No wonder this stuff is so expensive. The last issue was another upgrade, this man they sent from another state! He couldn't get the unit to work right, so 5 service calls later, 5 days I had to take off, they figure out it's a bad box they had just installed! Not an appology one, nothing. I could go on and on about this poor service. All they want is that check every month, try being late with it. I've been asked, why not try someone else. Good question; but every upgrade or change they "lock" you in for 24 months. They must do this because they know from experience they are going to have an unhappy customer once they see how things are going to go.
Believe me, use this service only if you have no other choice and then think hard because this abuse is common and they don't care.
I'd like to know who voted this outfit #1 in customer satisfaction, I know I wasn't asked to vote.
I can honestly say I dispise this company and if my family wasn't so into TV, their equipment would be in a dumpster.
