Just a few weeks ago I obtained the Dish Network. When I had completed quite a few steps with the person I was talking to he told me tht I owed them money and he transferred me to a collection department who told me I owed them $36.00. I had not had Dish for at least six years and could not believe I owed it but I was getting the Dish for my son's apartment and so I paid the $36.00. Just a few days ago, a friend of mine decided to go with Dish and in the course of her conversation they told her she owed $142.00 and she had not had Dish for 6 or 7 years. It appears to me that Dish is collecting from everyone that has had their service in the past and is trying to get it again. The sales person I was speaking with told me that almost everyone owes something to Dish that has had the service in the past. Sounds bit strange to me.
