We were given a referral to DirectTV from friends, who really liked the service. We saw they were doing a free installation as well, so we called and ordered DirectTV since we were told that in order to get the friends' referral credit we had to place the order over the phone. A woman there told me that we would get the credit but that we had to wait until it was installed and follow some steps. So while the installer was there I called back the number and tried to follow the steps, I was told she had given me incorrect information, but that they could fix it and give me the credit (comes out to$60 over 6 months).
When I received my bill the credit was not on there. I have written numerous emails and even escalated it to a supervisor who didn't bother reading all the notes on my account where I was promised the credit and simply said you have to call a certain number to get it (which is the number I had placed the order in the first place!!)
Now they refuse to give us the credit and keep giving us the run-around. They advertise this credit but apparently it's false advertising since they won't live up to their promises.Read Next Complaint >>
